The Lancaster MPO follows a Congestion Management Process (CMP) to reduce traffic buildup on the County’s roadways. The CMP includes a study that analyzes locations with improvable traffic speeds. This study is performed every two years. Reducing congestion improves quality of life, boosts the economy, and improves air quality by reducing vehicle idling.
